Sophie Pinkston

Sophie Pinkston is a rising junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill double majoring in economics and statistics and analytics. She is a research assistant for the UNC Sociology Department and works in the intersection of policy and social movements. After being a part of her school’s Fed Challenge Team (a mock Federal Reserve competition team), she has developed a strong interest in macroeconomics in particular. Sophie also sees the importance of giving back to her community and spends time on weekends building houses with Orange County Habitat for Humanity. In her free time, Sophie enjoys baking, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.
